Taylor Ball Tickets

This past week my mom, dad, two sisters, cousin and Grandma all went down to Froggy 98 to try win Taylor Swift tickets by picking up a Taylor Ball ticket for me.  Each day we were all able to get one ticket each.  I think we got maybe somewhere to 30 all together!   It was fun going down to the radio station and Friday before school they announced the winners of the Taylor Swift concert tickets over the radio by reading some numbers and you had to have the winning "Taylor Ball ticket" and number in order.  Guess what!!!...  It wasn't us.  Oh well. I am going to try again to win some tickets if I can and they have more contest.  I really want to see her.  After school, dad told me Taylor Swift concert in Omaha sold out in two and a half hours.  That's for both shows!  I kinda cried, but hopefully they have some more tickets that they can give away when they get closer to the show...  I hope so anyways.

Nebraska Country Music Foundation

I just joined the NCMF (Nebraska Country Music Foundation).  They are having a Karaoke contest coming up.  I might enter it.

Miranda!

 

My mom and dad just told me they got me Miranda Lambert tickets!  I'm so excited.  Can't wait to go see the show.  I wonder if Blake Shelton will be there to.  I hope so, my dad likes that song "It's All About Tonight".  I love Miranda's songs "White Liar", "The House That Built Me" and  "Kerosene".  Well, I guess I pretty much love her other songs too!  I'm so excited!  I wonder if she'll be signing autographs.

Working on getting my timing down.  Brian said he thought I recognized the notes and could read them well, he just thought I needed to work on my timing and I should use a  metronome.

Snow Day!!!

Yes!!!  Today is a snow Day!  This is our third one of the year!  I like school and I do well, but snow days ROCK!  Think I'll goof off a little with the guitar.  I am gonna try working on a new song too.  Maybe I should try to write a song about snow or snow days or maybe a Christmas song.  If you guys have any ideas or suggestions leave me a comment.

Guitar Lessons

Today I had my first guitar lesson. It was pretty fun I learned a few notes and a couple of chords...  My teacher, Brian asked what kind of music I liked and I told him country.  He asked who I liked and I told him Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambet and many others.  He told me that it may be tough to start off with Carrie Underwood songs, but mentioned that Taylor Swift songs may be a little easier to learn.  I told him that was great, but when he told me we were going to be working of "Fearless" by Taylor Swift I about freaked out.

Carrie Unerwood Concert

 I got to got to a Carrie Underwood concert!  It was fun.  My sister's friends' mom, called my mom at the last minute and asked if I wanted to go.  I said yes and mom and dad said it would be fine...  Nobody else from my family got to go.  I got home at 12:30 in the morning and still had to go to school the next day.  It was way worth it though!!!
